For a budget spotter the Kowa TSN501 is definitely the best option to date. The focus wheel is smooth, the zoom adjustment is fairly tight but this may be because it’s new, and the size and weight is tiny. The zoom range is usable even at the highest but tight…this is normal for a budget spotter. It serves my needs for range use out to 400 yards and it’s clear enough to spot all hits down to a .243 caliber. .224 caliber is a little harder to see clearly but this can also be my eyes. All in all 9/10 in the budget category.
